Islamabad Travelogue Top 5 — My rebellious world

Introduction:

Islamabad means the city of Islam. Two million individuals live here. It has a plenty of fervor for reading and writing. There are numerous attractions for tourists in this city:

  1. The Faisal Mosque:

In 1976, King Faisal, from Saudi Arabia, donated 120 million to build a mosque in Islamabad. It was designed by a Turkish designer Vidat Dalokay. This marvel, named after the king himself, looks like a Beduin’s tent. Its prayer room is enough for 10,000 people. This 5000 square meter mosque is located at the bottom of the Margalla Hills. Today, this mosque ranks fourth in the list of the biggest prayer places in the world. It presents a splendid view.

2 Damn-e-Koh:

Damn-e-Koh is a Persian word. It means foothills. While traveling to Pir Suhawa, located at the top of the Margalla Hills, almost 3,600 feet high, people halt at the Koh. It is 2,400 feet high from the sea level. This hill top is 500 feet higher from Islamabad too. It has many eateries. If you do not want to walk for long, you can hop on to special vehicles. You do not have to worry about the safety of your cars as well. Beware of monkeys though. It is a pictureque spot filled with awe-inspiring scenes of nature. The environment here is extremely peaceful.

3 Monal Restaurant:

The Monal Restaurant – number Uno eating place in Islamabad. It excels in food quality. The variety at one’s table also blows one’s mind away. The food is month-watering each time. I could not make up my mind over a Chinese platter or a Thai one during my last visit. If it is your birthday, you’ll have a blast for sure. Lights enhance the ambiance at night. Scenic beauty, enjoyable weather, relishing your food and open air- this is what this food-chain is all about.

4 Lok Virsa:

Lok Virsa is a museum that has been preserving our heritage and culture for long. It is amazing how the people of Pakistan have a variety of lifestyles. The way they maintain everything is fantastic too. The UNESCO done a fantastic job here. It is not an experience place. Therefore, everyone can visit easily. Sadly, clicking pictures is not allowed.

5 Shakar Parian and the Pakistan Monument:

Shakar Parian means a sweet place. It is full of hills. The Pakistan Monument, a miracle of Pakistan’s history is constructed inside it. The monument consists of four petal – like structures symbolizing all our provinces. While, the smaller ones stand for Baltistan, Azad – Kashmir and our tribal areas. We are reminded of our freedom struggle, power of unity.

Conclusion:

Islamabad’s greenery, spotlessness, beauty and progress calls travellers from all over the world.
